Getting Started
How do I sign up?+
Open Settings and enter your email address. We send a one-time magic link – no password to create or remember. Click the link in your email to sign in.
How do I connect my fantasy league?+
Go to League Hub, enter your Sleeper username, and select your league from the list. We only store the league ID – no platform passwords, ever.
What keyboard shortcuts are available?+
⌘K / Ctrl K opens the command palette. Press Esc to close any overlay.
Is Blindside Alpha free?+
There's a free tier — three full player profile breakdowns and the public market signals layer, no card required. Paid seasonal passes unlock unlimited profiles, AI Why narratives, the wagering lab, and the dynasty hub. See current pricing for up-to-date pass options and prices.
Where do I find my dashboard?+
The dashboard is the default landing page after sign-in. You can also reach it at any time from the top of the left sidebar.
Account
How do I sign out?+
Go to Settings and click "Sign out" in the Account section.
How do I delete my account?+
Email support@blindsidealpha.com and we'll wipe your data within 7 days. See the Privacy Policy for full details.
Where is my watchlist stored?+
Your watchlist is stored securely in our database, locked to your account. Sign out and it disappears from the UI; sign back in and it returns instantly.
Can I use Blindside Alpha on mobile?+
Yes – the UI is fully responsive. The terminal density works best on a wider screen, but all core pages work on mobile.
League Hub
Where do I connect my league?+
Go to League Hub in the left sidebar. Enter your Sleeper username and select your league from the list. Your league roster, matchups, and standings will populate automatically.
What platforms are supported?+
Sleeper is the primary integration (free public API). Additional platforms require OAuth flows that are queued for after the core launch.
My league isn't showing up after I connect it.+
Try refreshing the page. If the league still doesn't appear, go to Settings → Connected Leagues and disconnect then reconnect. Leagues from unsupported platforms may not yet be available.
Can I connect multiple leagues?+
Yes – connect each league separately from League Hub. Set a default league from Settings → Connected Leagues if you have more than one.
Data Sources
Where does the data come from?+
League-grade NFL play-by-play data, official snap counts, Next Gen tracking stats, and public box scores. See the Methodology page for the full breakdown.
How often does data update?+
Player stats update after each game concludes. Projections refresh Wednesday morning for the upcoming week. Injury designations refresh on a 5-minute cache.
What's the difference between PPG and FPTS?+
PPG is fantasy points per game played – the better predictor of future output. FPTS is the cumulative season total – useful for overall value but penalizes missed games.
Why is EPA per play sometimes blank?+
We require a minimum sample of 50+ snaps in the active season. Players below that threshold show – until they qualify.
I see a metric I don't recognize.+
Every metric used across the app is defined on the Glossary page, with plain-English explanations, source information, and how-to-use guidance.
Player Detail
How do I access a player's full analytics?+
Click any player name across the app – Rankings, League Hub, Tape Room, or the search palette – to open their detail page.
What can I do from a player card?+
The player card surfaces the key actions: add to watchlist, open Tape, switch to the market view, and the analytics tabs. The Tape tab opens the Tape Room pre-filtered to that player.
Wagering & Legal
Is this betting advice?+
No. Blindside Alpha is a research and analytics platform. All projections, edges, and model outputs are statistical estimates for informational purposes only – not wagering advice.
Do you take bets or facilitate wagering?+
No. Blindside Alpha is not a sportsbook and does not facilitate, accept, or settle wagers of any kind.
Are odds live?+
Currently in baseline mode – model-only projections are shown. Live sportsbook line integration activates during the regular season when our market data feed is connected.
What states are supported?+
All 50 states. Blindside Alpha provides research and statistical analysis – we do not provide jurisdiction-specific wagering services, so there are no geographic restrictions on using the platform.
Why are some lines missing?+
Sportsbook line ingest is currently pending. When the data feed is connected, market lines will appear on the Wagering surface. Until then, model projections are shown without live lines.
What does 'edge' mean?+
Edge is the difference between our model's estimated probability and the implied probability in the market line. A positive edge means the model thinks the outcome is more likely than the market is pricing. Edge is a research signal – not a pick or a recommendation. See the Glossary for the full definition.
Why do I see 'baseline mode' on the Wagering surface?+
Baseline mode means live sportsbook lines haven't been loaded yet. The model projects outcomes using team totals and spreads from consensus public sources – not live market quotes. This ensures continuity even before the data feed is live.
Troubleshooting
The magic link email didn't arrive.+
Check your spam folder first. Magic links expire after 10 minutes – if yours expired, return to Settings and request a new one. Make sure you're using the same email you signed up with.
The data looks stale or wrong.+
A hard refresh (Ctrl Shift R / ⌘ Shift R) clears the cache. If it's still wrong, email us with the player name and what's off.
An unsupported league platform – when will it be added?+
Additional platforms require OAuth flows. They are queued for development after the core launch. Sleeper is the current integration.
